Chook Chook a great story

EVERY now and again amongst the sadness of the world news, a great and beautiful story touches the old heartstrings.

The story of Chook Chook by Lucy Jarvis fully deserved to be on the front page of the November 18 edition.

To try to imagine a bird sitting on the caravan hitch for 80 kilometres is virtually fair dinkum mind blowing.

To see how the Hays family have adopted Chook Chook as a travelling companion for their border collie Missy put the cream on the cake for me.
