Enough adverts

Janice TeoMandurah Coastal Times

MANY of my friends and I are sick and tired of the number of advertising breaks shown by all stations to the detriment of the actual programs.

News is interrupted to such a degree that you do not know what you are watching and the same goes for all programs. I might add these adverts are pushed along at such a speed that you cannot read them, including the very small print at the bottom of the adverts.

But who cares?

When will sense prevail?

We want fewer advertising breaks and more program content; say two breaks at the most in any 30 minutes and fewer than five actual adverts per session.

In addition, it seems many more channels have been added only to advertise more of the same.

Therefore, why over expose the same advertising on the channels that should be showing the actual programs advertised in local papers and the TV guides.
