Environmentalist Craig Lester much mourned

WE were shocked and saddened to hear that Craig Lester had passed away.

We own a business on the Mandurah Foreshore and often spoke with Craig about the wildlife in the area, particularly the abuse of our wildlife caused by fishermen and people just wanting to do harm to our birdlife.

Craig was passionate about his work and was always only a phone call away when we needed him to help a bird in distress. He was a good bloke, tirelessly working for the animals that could not speak for themselves.

Craig kept his illness to himself, which must have been very lonely for him. Mandurah will not be same without this generous soul who cared for our wildlife tirelessly and without complaint.

Rest in peace you wonderful special man from your friends at Walkabout Souvenirs Mandurah.
