Halls Head resident angry over Bunnings development proposal

Staff ReporterMandurah Coastal Times

DOESN’T Councillor Peter Jackson realise that Halls Head already has a Mitre 10 that employs staff and that inevitably Bunnings will force it to close by taking all its business?

He obviously also does not realise that the area is residential, has a retirement complex close by and the already high traffic volumes will become impossible.

In addition, Glencoe primary and Halls Head High are close by.

Maybe Cr Jackson doesn’t care as long as he gets his bag of compost.

I think the real reason Bunnings wants the site is to stop Masters from gaining a foothold in the area. The Bunnings in Mandurah is well placed in an industrial complex and has attracted many small businesses to the area.

I am sure it will do the same in Halls Head and that will ruin the area.

Do the opinions of Halls Head residents not count?
