Protect Our Heritage

Janice TeoMandurah Coastal Times

MANDURAH Historical Society is deeply concerned about the 2016 proposed structure plan at Sutton Farm and the effect it will have on the heritage-listed farm buildings.

We have put in a submission to the City of Mandurah with our views on the development and have provided copies to various agencies in WA.

We were surprised there was not very much publicity regarding the development prior to the February 19 closing date.

A number of people would have been unaware of the redevelopment plans being put forward.

Mandurah has very little heritage left and it is important that we protect our heritage for future generations to enjoy and view aspects of our past, both the heritage buildings in the region and the natural environment.

Plaques and photographs do not have the same impact as an actual building or artefact.
