Some pluses

Staff ReporterMandurah Coastal Times

PAID parking in Mandurah is now a reality, at least at the train station.

Council is seeking community input and giving four piecemeal options to address issues resulting from the Public Transport Authority decision. However, none of those options floats the longer-term view that throughout the CBD and in certain precincts, paid parking could serve the community well.

Paid parking advantages include releasing CBD spaces for those who need short-term access. In addition, paid parking means people are more likely to use our under-used public transport system.
