WE totally agree with Charlie Gibson’s letter in the November 4 edition about the Novara boat ramp.
A number of local residents have been asking for 12 months to get some repair work done on the two jetties. I have taken photos of the metal bits coming out from the rubber pillars, taken them in to the right people to get them cut off as they are so dangerous to children getting in and out of boats but nothing has happened.
In addition, the channel desperately needs to be dredged.
So far the response has been all talk such as “we will look into it” but to date no action.
I guess we will just keep asking for this work to be completed or wait for an accident or a child gets hurt. I hope the work is done before anyone is hurt.
