BUYING big doesn’t have to break the budget.
With homes in Perth’s south priced at less than $300,000, first-time buyers and investors have endless opportunities to secure classic brick residences on large blocks.
Bassett-Scarfe Realty principal Adam Bassett-Scarfe said housing prices would not remain low for much longer.
“Prices on homes sub-$300,000 will gradually start to rise as stock levels in this price bracket dry up,” he said.
“We have noticed a reduction in properties listed under $400,00 in all suburbs.”
“Buying into existing regions has advantages, not simply a low price.
“Generally, these older suburbs are in superior locations and have natural geological and environmental attractions.
“The older suburbs also provide larger land parcels and therefore potential redevelopment.
“They are generally more stable in their values and less susceptible to market fluctuation, making them valuable real estate.
