LJ Hooker Mandurah is encouraging the community to get behind the Pat Thomas House Christmas appeal and help with a hamper this festive season.

“Each year, Pat Thomas House run a Christmas service that assists mothers and children going through family and domestic violence,” LJ Hooker Mandurah property consultant Michele Emmerson-Law said.

“This year, they’ve asked for assistance from the local community and we were delighted to set up several donation boxes at our office.

“Christmas can be a financially stressful time for many women/children escaping family and domestic violence and it’s so simple for us to provide a few basic items to raise their spirits at this time of year.”

The real estate agency is seeking donations of food with a long shelf life and that does not need refrigeration.

Bags of lollies and large chips, Christmas cake or pudding, packets of crackers and jelly, long-life custard, tinned ham, fruit or vegetables, 2L bottles of fruit juice or soft drink and bonbons are needed.

Donations can be dropped off to LJ Hooker Mandurah at 68 Mandurah Terrace before December 7. It is open from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
