Mandurah posted a strong combined total of 48.01, but Margaret River surged home with 58.70 thanks to rides from Jacob Willcox, Bronte Macaulay, Jethro Hedstrom, Dave Macaulay, and Jolan Bonelli.

However, Mandurah Boardriders’ Zak Alexander scooped an award for his “amazing combination of style and power” that saw him defeat a red-hot Jacob Wilcox, the only surfer to do so.

“It’s been a ripper day,” he said.

“It’s been small, but hey, that’s surf comps, and stoked the club performed so strongly.”
