Until March 26, people are invited to jump on their bike and enjoy the mostly free activities.
Health promotion manager Ann Barblett recommended bringing family and friends to be part of a unique pedal-powered family movie night or to one of the other fun community events hosted by local agencies and businesses.
“Local cycle clubs and groups will be hosting social rides throughout the fortnight in various localities, or for those who enjoy the thrill of competition, cycle-racing and BMX track-racing have-a-try events are also offered,” she said.
The more adventurous can enjoy discovering and exploring cycle trails on a family or mountain bike ride. For those people who want to learn how to fix their bike, there will be a workshop on basic bike maintenance.
“In the spirit of this event, we are also encouraging the Peel community to use a healthy, congestion-free transport option and cycle to the Mandurah Crabfest weekend of March 19-20 and to the Mandurah Rotary Family Fun Day and Duck Race on March 26,” Ms Barblett said.
