Bright future for sisters

Both girls won three medals each in their events.

Brianna’s was in the under 9 category, winning the gold in the long jump and setting a new record to boot.

She also won a silver medal for discus and a silver in the javelin.

Holly, competing in the under-7 section, won the gold medal for the discus and also set a new record. She also won silvers medals for the long jump and shot put.

The girls also did well in the Peel Little Athletic Centre Championships. Brianna won eight gold medals and a silver medal, while Holly won four gold medals and a silver.

Brianna has won the State Gold Medal for long jump since she competed in the Under 7 category.
