PEEL cyclist Colin Rose took second and third places in the over-50 men’s category as part of the State Time Trial and Road Race Championships at Dardanup last weekend.
In the time trial, cyclists in the over-50 men’s category rode on an undulating course finishing at Wellington Dam.
Three cyclists in the women’s open road race – Rebecca McKay, Emily Mascaro and Liz Leyden – rode away from the bunch.

Mascaro chased hard alone for second, with Leyden third.
Professional track rider Stephen Hall, from Pennsylvania, and 2011 Omnium Champion Michael Freiberg fought out a close finish in the men’s open race.
Hall was victorious after a sprint between the two at the top of the climb.
Alex Vukovisch was third with a brave solo chase.
