Feels Like El salutes for McLaren

The Andrew McLaren-trained racedog launched straight to the lead from box two and was able to maintain his ascendancy throughout the race despite pressure from runner-up Special Pup.

Feels Like El held on to score by nearly two lengths in 22.75.

The speedy blue dog has now saluted in six of his past nine starts and he hasn’t missed a podium finish during that time.

Feels Like El’s victory was the second part of double for McLaren who also achieved success with Rhode House. Rhode House came home with a strong finish to win the Get Your QuaddieOn Grade 3 over 405m in 22.72.

Another greyhound that needed to dig deep to claim victory was Bekim Maxim in the $35 Friday Night Buffet Grade 4/5 over 490m.

The Linda Britton-trained chaser worked hard from box eight as he overcome a moderate start. Once he secured the lead, Bekim Maxim was able to surge ahead and score by nearly four lengths in 27.65.
