LAST Sunday, international glamour hit the Peel Districts Cycling Club with three members of the Lithuanian women’s track development team taking part in A grade.

Currently enjoying a training camp in Perth the young women made a major impact on the race and outperformed most of the older male riders.

The race was run at a tremendous pace with an average speed of 43km/h.

There were constant breakaway attempts and while none featured the Lithuanian visitors, they were instrumental in chasing a number down.

The race came down to a frantic final lap when Heska Prasetya and under 17 rider Tyler Lindorff got off the front of the bunch chasing breakaway leader Conor Leahy.

But they couldn’t catch him, with Leahy riding to his second win in as many weeks.

Prasetya was second and Lindorff third. Ansrine Trebaite was the best of the international visitors in eighth.

B grade was another fast race, but in the end it was a bunch sprint with OTOC-Vault taking out the first four places.

Julian Krohn finished first, Luke Howe second and Sebastian Barrett third.

The C grade race included a number of younger riders but it was the old guard that got the results.

Julian Bleddyn attacked with one lap to go and that was enough to secure the win while Robert Collins was second and Ron Mcarthur third.

The D grade race included the only rider to race E grade with Todd Brown riding admirably to finish in the D grade bunch in 9th.

In a sprint finish, it was another young women track rider, Dharlia Haines taking the honours from Oliver Bleddyn with the experienced Dave Simmons in third.

The two lap junior race was won by Madisson McAuiffe, with Tom Ryan on a single speed BMX second and Dakota Ramos third.
