The Athlete Travel Subsidy Scheme and the Community Sporting Club Equipment Subsidy scheme are delivered by the Department of Sport and Recreation and funded by the State Government’s Royalties for Regions program.

‘It is great that this funding has been made available to assist eligible athletes with travel costs to compete at regional, state, national and international events and made available to sporting clubs needing new equipment,’ Dr Hames said.

Hockey goalkeeper Brittanny Macnab has been selected in the under-18s women’s indoor state hockey team.
