MANDURAH Baptist College student Lily Beste qualified to compete in the 2019 Hancock Prospecting Australian Age Swimming Championships in Adelaide.
The Australian age championships is the penultimate event on the swim calendar where swimmers are required to meet a national qualifying time to compete against the countries best age group swimmers.
Lily swam in seven events and a relay over the competition with strong results overall.
She improved on previous best times in six events. Lily reached finals after tough heat swims for the 400m free where she finished fifth. She finished fourth in the 400m individual medley.

Lily trains eight to nine times in the pool and has two gym sessions each week.
