MANDURAH Baptist College Year 11 student Louwrens Prinsloo was one of three players selected to be part of the Volleyball Australia Junior Men’s Team which represented Australia at the 2019 AUS Youth Men Thailand Tour.

“Our squad of 39 athletes and 11 staff trained and played a number of international friendly games at the FIVB Development Centre in Bangkok, and then competed in the Thailand National Junior Under-21 Men’s Championship,” Louwrens said.

“Throughout the championship it was remarkable how respectful all players and coaches were to us and each other.

“The games were hard, intense and at a very high level, but the sportsmanship and respect players showed to each other was like nothing I’ve seen before.
