Mandurah: big crowd expected at JLT derby clash

PEEL Thunder Football Club will host the JLT Community Series clash between the Fremantle Dockers and the West Coast Eagles on Sunday.

A crowd of up to 10,000 people is expected to watch the popular WA AFL teams face off in the first derby for the year.

The 18-game JLT Community Series brings AFL matches to regional communities, enabling them to experience the AFL in their own backyard.

The action-packed day features a curtain-raiser where Peel Thunder take on the new West Coast Eagles West Australian Football League team at 12.30pm. After the WAFL pre-season game, the Dockers will take on the premiership winners at 4.10pm.

There will also be a Family Fun Zone with AFL merchandise and free football activities.

The event is supported by the City of Mandurah, the AFL and WAFL.
