Mandurah Greyhounds: Quedos slips away easily to win first free to all

Tim SlaterMandurah Coastal Times

A week after a disappointing effort in The Chase final at the same venue, when he finished fifth behind kennelmate Hello I’m Leo, Quedos was back to his best and beat race favourite Mique at his own game in the process.

Mique, a noted quick beginner and front runner, had the benefit of the rails alley but Quedos was too slippery out of the ‘lemon’, box five, and he shot to the lead when the lids flipped open.

Quedos broke to a handy advantage and despite dogged pursuit from Mique he could not be reeled in.

He hit the line nearly three lengths ahead in 22.59 to claim his first victory at Free To All level at Mandurah.
