Staff WriterMandurah Coastal Times

AFTER a strong start to the National Premier Leagues WA season, an injury-riddled Mandurah City face a tough test tomorrow night when it takes on Sorrento at Percy Doyle Reserve.

City coach Doug Hesketh knows some of his more experienced players won’t take to the pitch, but has confidence in his younger players.

“We are being tested with our squad depth at the moment,” he said.

Mandurah will continue to focus on its own performances as it adjusts to life in the top tier.

“Sorrento are an experienced side,” he said.

“Jamie’s (Harnwell) an experienced coach and I’ve coached quite a few of their players but I really think it’s going to be up to us.

“We’ve got to go out with our own self belief that it’s an opportunity to play another game in the National Premier Leagues and improve on last week.”

Having both walked away from round two with draws against Inglewood and Joondalup United respectively, the teams will be aiming to take home the three points when they meet at 7pm tomorrow.

In other games tomorrow, Inglewood faces Subiaco at Inglewood Stadium while Cockburn City takes on Bayswater City at Dalmatinac Park at 7pm.

Perth SC plays Floreat Athena at Dorrien Gardens, while Armadale faces Balcatta at Alfred Skeet Reserve. Both matches have been rescheduled to 8pm due to extreme heat forecast for the weekend.

The Joondalup United vs Perth Glory and ECU Joondalup vs Stirling matches have been postponed until further notice due to the forecast heat.
