Party Hotshot fastest

Declan ByrneMandurah Coastal Times

In what was his first appearance on the Peel circuit, the lightly-raced black chaser from Ben Abercrombie's kennels produced a brilliant come-from-behind effort to clock 27.36.

After a poor jump where he was left lingering at the traps while Burundi fired out to an early break, Party Hotshot recovered quickly and pushed forward along the rail.

He gobbled up Burundi on the home straight and surged away to score in dominant fashion by three lengths.

Group two All Stars Sprint winner Tureaud secured his place in the final with a comfortable win during his heat.
