Peel Aquatic Swimming Club performs strongly to place seventh at Junior State Long Course Championships

PEEL Aquatic Swimming Club competed against WA junior swimming clubs at the WA Junior State Long Course Championships at HBF Stadium in early April.

Peel was named the seventh best club in the state over the three-day competition.

Peel fielded 17 competitors who competed in 105 swims with all swimmers attaining at least one personal best time, and a 72 per cent conversion rate.

Individual swimmers took home two gold, 12 silver and five bronze medals.

Medal winners included Caitlyn Leather, Aroha Tarrant, Regan Ashby and Lexcen King, Maryanne Vunikura and Summer Houston.

Peel Aquatic Swimming Club president Darren Michael said it was an outstanding achievement.

“This has been an outstanding achievement by our young swimmers and due reward for the efforts put in by them and their coaches,” he said.

Peel Aquatics Club is offering a two week free trial for new or returning members.
