Peel Runners Club has taken off

PEEL Runners Club has only been running for a month and already has 50 members.

Coordinator Natalie Mullen said the instant popularity of the club showed there had been a need for a local running group.

“It’s really taken off,” she said.

“We’ve had people from 10-years old to 60 join.

“I love bringing people together.”

Ms Mullen said the social running group was for all ages and abilities.

“You can run at your own pace and distance,” she said.

The group meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5am at Henson Reserve in Silver Sands and Wednesday nights at 5.45pm at Mandurah Quay resort carpark.

Weekend runs and social events are also planned.

To join visit the group’s Facebook page or call 0400 200 417.
