PEEL Thunder Colts won a thrilling finals game against East Fremantle on Sunday at Joondalup Oval, with a final score of 62:60.

Talent manager John Deitz said it was a real nail-biter, but Peel managed to hold on.

“We were up 26 points early in the last quarter,” he said.

“But they kicked five goals in 11 minutes and hit the front.

“It was panic stations then.”

Mr Deitz said Billy Chambers kicked a goal in the last three minutes, which won Peel the game.

“Both sides played really well,” he said.

Peel now play Swan Districts on Sunday at Fremantle Oval in a preliminary final. The colts lost to the Swans last week so they are keen for a rematch.

The winner goes on to play Subiaco in the grand final.
