Peel Thunder legend Rory O’Brien to lay first commemorative paver on City of Mandurah’s Sporting Hall of Fame

THE first commemorative paver will be laid for the City of Mandurah’s Sporting Hall of Fame on Friday afternoon.

The Sporting Hall of Fame’s first inductee, footballer Rory O’Brien, will lay the paver at the Peel Thunder Football Club along with Mandurah Mayor Rhys Williams.

The 2008 Sandover Medallist and Halls Head resident made his league debut for Peel Thunder in the 2005 season, and holds the game record at the club.

O’Brien became the first inductee into the Sporting Hall of Fame in 2017.

A Sporting Hall of Fame commemoration area, featuring inscribed pavers, was established at Peel Thunder Football Club to honour inductees.
