A FOUR-goal haul to Blair Bell has helped Peel Thunder to a huge 79-point win over Swan Districts on Saturday afternoon.

Peel never looked challenged hosting the WAFL round 12 match-up, kicking six goals to nothing in the first quarter to set up a healthy lead, which their opponents struggled to stay in touch with.

The visitors would kick only seven goals for the game as the Thunder strangled them in defence and outran them going forward on their way to 19 goals in their equal highest-scoring game of the season.

Adding to Bell’s bag of four, Brayden Lawler kicked three while Matthew Piggott, Lloyd Meek, Sam Sturt and Travis Colyer kicked two goals each as Peel ran out 125-46 winners.

Mitchell Crowden ran riot through the middle, picking up 29 disposals, while Jackson Merrett also found a lot of the ball with 27 touches.

The big win helps Peel leapfrog into fifth spot on the WAFL ladder, bumping West Perth back to sixth on the back of a healthier thanks to percentage.
Round 13 action will kick off with a mini Western Derby as Peel Thunder take on the West Coast Eagles from 12.10pm on July 6 at David Grays Arena.
