Rolling-up for big unveiling

The development now accommodates the Peel Bowling and Social Club, which had to move from its previous location as a result of the Mandurah Aquatic Centre redevelopment.

Dawesville MLA Kim Hames unveiled a plaque to commemorate the occasion.

‘The Halls Head Bowling Club had been planning for some years to expand and improve facilities for existing members and to attract new members,’ he said.

‘The funding has come from a range of sources; Lotterywest $318,182, Department of Sport and Recreation $313,250, City of Mandurah $400,000, Halls Head Bowling and Recreation Club $450,000 and Peel Bowling and Social Club $20,000.

‘This project reflects the State Government’s commitment to support the WA community through direct funding to eligible clubs and organisations,’ Dr Hames said.
