CHRIS Halse has a strong hand heading into this Saturday’s final of the Young Stars Classic (490m) with quality pair Who’s Got Snoop and West On Sally producing nice heat wins and then securing good draws for the Group 3 feature.
Who’s Got Snoop will have the benefit of the pole, the same alley from which he claimed his heat victory last weekend.
The talented blue fawn did not begin with his usual zip but was able to overcome a poor start to power home in the later stages to score in 27.68. Who’s Got Snoop has now saluted in nine of 13 starts.
West On Sally was good enough to win from the lemon box five in her heat so she’ll have great prospects from box three in the trophy decider.
She jumped brilliantly and led all the way to trump her heat rivals by a length and half in 27.78.
Northam stalwart Wayne Jacobson also qualified two runners for the final and will be represented by Trusted and Channing.
Trusted ran down the leading Starlight Shine to cross the line in 27.65 while Channing produced a blistering run of 27.39 to claim his heat.
