SOME of the best country footballers from around regional WA converged on Perth last weekend for the annual Landmark Country Football Championships.
The event was broken into four divisions and played at grounds all over Perth, with the colts at Mandurah’s Bendigo Bank Stadium and the division 1, 2 and 3 competitions shared between Fremantle Community Bank Oval, Joondalup Arena, Lathlain Park, Leederville Oval and Claremont Oval.
A women’s exhibition match was also included in this year’s event.

Former Fremantle Docker Jesse Crichton, who suited up for South West, was named best on ground in the division 1 final and was awarded the Landmark Medal.
Crichton’s teammate Jace Cormack won the Jock Coleman Trophy as the division 1 best and fairest, while coach Jamie Nani received the Dick Smith Coach of the Carnival award.
