MANDURAH’S sporting high achievers were recognised at the City of Mandurah’s inaugural Sports Awards at a ceremony at Rushton Park on Wednesday night .

The Awards aim to honour local individuals, clubs and teams who have a strong connection with Mandurah, have achieved sporting success or have made a significant contribution to sport and recreation in Mandurah.

The winners:

Junior Sports Person of the Year – Marshall Puzey

Sports Person with a Disability – Mathew Calkin

Senior Sports Person of the Year – Jordyn Ihms

Team of the Year – Mandurah City Football Club

Female Club Person of the Year, Volunteer – Lisa Abbott

Male Club Person of the Year, Volunteer – Ken Phillips

Club of the Year – Mandurah Surf Life Saving Club
