State League Soccer: Mandurah City go top with 3-1 win over Forrestfield

MANDURAH City has powered to the top of the State League Division One table after its third win of the season on Saturday, downing Forrestfield United 3-1.

The teams went into the main change at 1-1, despite Forrestfield hitting the upright twice and crossbar once in an entertaining first half.

However, Mandurah were clinical after the break, scoring twice to record the win.

The defending champions will look to continue their good form against bottom placed Dianella White Eagles this weekend.

In the reserves, Mandurah shared the spoils for the third time in four matches, battling to a 1-1 draw.

The Under-18s were not so lucky going down 2-1 to post its first loss of the 2016 season.

This week the club will host State League football under lights with the first team to do battle at Peelwood Reserve from 7pm.

The 18s will get the action underway at 3pm while reserves will get started at 5pm.
