Successful winter season draws to close

Halls Head won the under 15 competition with a 5-0 victory in the grand final over Pinjarra Red.

Peel Hockey UPS co-ordinator Sarah Love said it was a successful season for the competition.

‘We have been very lucky this year to have four international coaches working with our teams as well as fantastic local coaches, who all gave their time to help the children learn new skills,’ she said.

‘Local under 15 players serve as umpires during matches. All of the players have a mentor for the games and are trained in umpiring throughout the season.

‘Players from all the junior age groups have been involved in carnivals in Bunbury, Perth and Narrogin. Winter hockey draws to a close but children are already gearing up for various hockey options during summer.’ Email Sandy Williams on admin@peelhockey .com.au.
