Vanessa SchmittMandurah Coastal Times

THE National Veterans Table Tennis Championships were held for the first time in Mandurah last week.

Teams from around Australia and overseas attended the event at Mandurah Aquatic and Recreation Centre. There were more than 400 players aged from 30 into their 80s.

Rob Neal, Valerie Delborrello, Mary Fletcher and Patricia Ilich were the competitors from Mandurah.

Coastal Times photographer Jon Hewson captured the intense concentration required from players and umpires.
