A TOP of the table clash between the MBC Waves and Balcatta Cats in the men’s volleyball super league will be held at the Mandurah Baptist College sports centre this Sunday.

It will be the Waves’ last home game of the season before the WA Volleyball League finals start.

The action starts at 1.30pm.

The MBC Waves are second on the ladder with 10 wins and three losses, while Balcatta is top with 12 wins and a loss.

“Our form has been pretty steady, we haven’t lost a home game all season,” Waves player Simon Ravenscroft said.

There are nine teams in the competition, from Joondalup to Busselton.

“We have played Balcatta only once so far this season, losing in a tight fourth set by two points,” he said.

“A win against Balcatta will keep MBC Waves in the top two, meaning a double chance in the finals.”

Ravenscroft is calling for lots of home town support to cheers the Waves on.

The game is set to be a highlight of the 2017 volleyball season.

The MBC is on Catalina Drive, Lakelands.
