WAFL: Peel Thunder coach Shepherd says team effort paid off against Bulldogs

PEEL Thunder’s win against South Fremantle on Saturday was physical and brutal, according to coach Cam Shepherd.

“I am proud of their effort because South Fremantle are a good side,” Shepherd said.

“It was pleasing to come out on top.”

Shepherd said Thunder’s back line was strong and held South Fremantle’s forward line. “Our forwards took every opportunity,” he said.

“It was an all-round team effort.”

Peel play Subiaco this weekend in the second semi-final.

“They have won 19 games straight and are clearly the leader,” Shepherd said.

“We’ll give it a red hot crack and see where it takes us.”
