PEEL Thunder lost the last game of the WAFL home and away season to South Fremantle by 34-points at Rushton Park on Saturday.
The two teams played a tightly contested game but the Bulldogs pulled away in the fourth quarter to finish the game at 18.12 (120) to 12.14 (86).
Peel had an inaccurate first term kicking three goals and five behinds to take a two point lead into quarter time.

“I thought the team played really well until three quarter time then we dropped off a bit and kicked some easy goals, other than that I thought it was a strong competition today” he said.
It was a tight contest throughout the second term, with both teams applying a level of pressure around the ball resulting in both teams kicking four goals each.
Bray said this showed in South Fremantle’s game play in the second quarter.
“They just brought more pressure in the second quarter and really stood up more and really matched us for most of it” he said.
The pressure continued throughout the third quarter with Peel kicking three goals to the Bulldogs four, heading into the fourth quarter with a 13-point lead.
Peel kicked the first goal of the fourth quarter before South Fremantle kicked five unanswered goals, ,which ultimately secured them the win.
Peel’s Leroy Jetta was among the best for Peel, kicking three goals for the team.
Bray spoke about how vital Jetta is to the squad week in-week out.
“Yeah he’s always really important up forward, he usually kicks two or three goals a game so he’s usually pretty viable for the forwards success”
Other stand outs included Gerald Ugle who kicked two goals and Rory O’Brien who racked up 23 disposals and a goal.
Peel will face South Fremantle again next Saturday at Fremantle Oval in the first WAFL Qualifying Final.
