The players were put through their paces on the brand new oval under the watchful eye of Thunder coach Cam Shepherd and his training staff.
Shepherd said it was only the second time the club had trained at the state-of-the-art facility, which he said was the best of its kind in Australia.
“We don’t get to train that often as a group together,” he said. “It’s really important that we got the opportunity.

READ NOW“The boys come together and we get to familiarise ourselves with each other and it helps on the weekend.”
He said the players enjoyed the opportunity and it was a great experience for them.
“It’s the second time we’ve been here and there will be more to come,” Shepherd said.
“But it’s something that we look forward to and when we get the chance, we love to take it.”
The side is gearing up to take on Subiaco at home this Saturday, bounce down 2.15pm.
