Young star has his eyes on AFL

The big-bodied 15-year-old has the ideal physical attributes for a modern midfielder at the sport’s elite level.

The Dawesville resident has enjoyed a stunning season, which included winning the Peel District’s best and fairest for his age group and an All-Australian selection after a dominant State 15s School Championship in Darwin.

Humble will tour South Africa with the All-Australian team for a series of exhibition games in January.

‘I am looking forward to going to South Africa and promoting the sport over there,’ he said.

Modelling himself on star Fremantle midfielder Nat Fyfe, Humble is hopeful of making Peel Thunder’s colts team next year.

‘I want to keep working my way up the ranks,’ he said.

‘I think my strengths are that I am a decent size for a midfielder and can cover the ground pretty well. I want to keep improving and hopefully I can one day play in the AFL.’

Humble is a nominee in the HBF Junior Sports Heroes competition for his passion and commitment to his sport, epitomised by his tirelessly dedication to helping out Auskick and mentoring young players.
