“I had a business selling wholefood treats to markets and I found it really hard and involved, so it evolved from there,” the Ardross resident said.

“I want to use my experience helping other businesses while creating somewhere great for the community.”

Mrs Bailey said people could expect bread, baked treats, preserves, chutneys, chilli sauces, organic meat and takeaway meals.

“There will also be kombucha, cold-pressed juices, seeds, nuts and dried fruit,” she said.

It’s all made locally with no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives.

“I think there is a gap in the market in Melville, people generally go to Fremantle but we want to be a place for foodie lovers.

“We were looking for the right premises and Marmion Street is a great strip of shops, plus I’m a local.

“So far it’s been really good, we’ve had people looking through the windows while we were putting the shop together.”
