THEY say things come in threes and that was certainly the case for Kardinya’s Le Beau Day Spa after it won three prestigious awards at the World Luxury Spa Awards in Ireland last month.

Owner Karen Briffa-Skewes, who started the business 21 years ago, credited her success to her passion, persistence, resilience and grit.

“I opened Le Beau Beauty Salon back in 1997 and it quickly became popular with the locals from the Melville area,” she said.

“After four years, the beauty salon took a change in direction.

“It became one of the first spas in Perth.

“The industry was changing and I envisioned a luxurious spa for where clients could escape from their stresses and so in 2004 Le Beau Day Spa was born.”

Awarded The Global Winner for Luxury Medical Clinic, the Australian and Oceania Award for Luxury Spa Business and the Australian and Oceania Award for Luxury Wellness Spa, Ms Briffa-Skewes said the awards confirmed the business was heading in the right direction.

“We have won awards from the World Luxury Spa Awards since 2015,” she said. “This is the first year we were awarded the Global Award.”
