“The idea was to work with the community and work out ways they could utilise the space,” she said.

“The first aid workshops and resume workshops will be free, the idea was to give people a mix of activities to do.

“We are focusing on seniors with the workshops because there is an older demographic in Bull Creek, but it will be open to everyone.”

Mandurah artist Ashleigh Vincent will be running workshops covering topics such as watercolours, mixed collage and pen and ink drawings.

“A big part of the workshops will be about mental health and self-care because while you are being creative, you give our brain a rest,” she said.

“It’s also a nice way to socialise and have fun.”
