OTHERSIDE Brewing Company has grown from making a one-off brew at music festivals to its very own brewhouse.
The Otherside Brewhouse launched yesterday on Blaikie Street in Myaree, with the venue opening on Thursdays through Sundays.
Director David Chitty said it was not his initial dream to build a brewhouse, but as the company evolved it was something he wanted to achieve.

READ NOW“We created a beer at Southbound in late 2015 to match the festival experience and it went well, so we made it for other festivals such as the Laneway Festival and the demand just grew,” he said.
“We wanted to build a brewhouse that embraced the spirit of the company but also a place that people could relax and enjoy good beer.
“This is about getting people together and seeing where their beer is made; there are no glass panels or facades here.
“We’ve found that everyone in that area is very friendly and supportive; I believe lots of people are excited about this.”
Brewhouse manager Ash Black said since the company was built on the musical experience, it was something they would continue to embrace.
“We are going to run Sunday gigs and have a variety of food trucks including Vietnamese, Brazilian, Indian and more,” he said.
“People can expect great craft beers and a good vibe. I think it’s a good fit for everyone.”
