Alfred Cove Art Society issues awards for 19th Annual Awards of Excellence Exhibition

THE Alfred Cove Art Society has given out prizes following its 19th Annual Awards of Excellence Exhibition, which ran from May 26 until June 4.

Kardinya resident Beulah Kimpton won the Best in Show Award for her pastel painting while Beverley Johnson from Ardross won the First Prize Award for Watercolours.

The organisation has members from a around the Perth metropolitan area region who come to enjoy monthly meeting, which feature demonstrations by successful artists as well as paint outs, trips to scenic venues and other activities.

Four other City of Melville residents won Highly Commended Awards, who were Winthrop residents Marilyn Keisey and Rose Seale, Applecross resident Jenny Tunnacliffe and Angela Massie from Ardross.
