“Campbell used to be queen bee until she moved schools but quickly adjusts and develops an even stronger group of friends and grows from her experiences,” Katie said of her character.

“The whole story is very much based around Campbell’s journey through her high school year and that means the majority of the show involves me.

“There are lots of lines, songs and dances to learn; but it’s all so much fun.”

Originally released as a 2000 film starring Kirsten Dunst, Bring It On was adapted into a stage musical in 2011.Director Katherine Freind said the show was stacked with songs and high-energy routines.

“I’m extremely passionate about fostering youth in musical theatre and the opportunities Black Box are providing are a wonderful way to do this,” she said.
