The occasion will double as the platform for the unveiling of a new book compiled by president Geoff Barber that chronicles the orchestra’s history.

Nearly two years in the making, the 284-page volume Our First 40 years 1976-2016 documents both the progress of the orchestra itself and the mandolin movement in Australia as a whole.

The Rhein-Donau Club concert will be held from 3pm on Saturday, March 19.
