The exhibition, run as part of the Heritage Festival, allowed local artists the opportunity to represent their passion for Fremantle and its history.

A City of Passion provides a collection of abstract and figurative canvases by an array of talented artists, including David Giles of Willagee, who said the exhibition provided a little bit for all types of art lovers.

‘I have a few pieces, most are an artist’s perspective on the way technology is changing the way we look at things literally, from the Hubble Telescope to electron microscopes to Google Earth,’ he said.

‘It is always interesting and revealing to see how artists interpret the world around them because Fremantle certainly is a city of passion and artists are a big part of that passion.
