Formerly known as The City of Melville Aged Person’s Homes Trust, Alchera Living was established in 1975 and now has four villages in Melville.
‘Each of the villages has developed its own personality,’ CEO Alan Marshall said.
‘Not every village is the same, they have different layouts and all are close to shops and transport.’
The social centres have a kitchenette and entertainment systems including a Wii Fit, some have a pool table and piano. ‘There are a variety of social activities where residents can interact as much or as little as they would like,’ he said .All the units are fitted with solar panels to take advantage of WA’s sunshine.
