THIRTY years ago, Brett Heatley was sitting as a new student in a new Year 6 room at All Saints College.

That room has now been replaced with a three-storey building in which his son Ben now sits as a Year 6 student.

Together, they helped to officially open the Year 5/6 building by presenting a brick from the original classroom at the opening ceremony.

Year 5 students take up the ground floor, while the Year 6s have classrooms above.

The top floor includes two general learning spaces and flexible space to cater for community functions and other opportunities.

The ‘studios’, or classrooms, in the new building are named after natural world items that reflect the mathematical sequence Fibonacci’s number, including Hurricane, Ammonite, Nautilus, Casuarina, Delphinus, Galaxy Phyllotaxis and Helianthus.
