GOOSEBUMPS is what Craig Chapman says he experiences when he recounts the respect shown to Australian servicemen and servicewomen on Remembrance Day.
The Applecross RSL president and his colleagues are preparing two local tributes to mark the anniversary of the end of World War I, which concluded on November 11, 1918.
One will include stalls set up at Garden City, allowing people to buy poppies.

It will be followed at 11am by the Last Post and a minute silence.
The second tribute will be held at the Wireless Hill war memorial.
A full service will get underway at 10.30am.
Mr Chapman said the turnout last year was an impressive 350 people.
He hoped it would be a similar story in 2017.
“We really value the public’s support,” he said.
“Seeing people stand to attention and the respect shown is very moving.
“I get goosebumps just thinking about it.”
The Wireless Hill war memorial is on Telefunken Drive, Ardross.
